I have been crocheting and knitting since I was 5 years old. My mother taught me decades ago as I sat beside her on the couch, watching and learning. I have purchased binders full of patterns from other designers and added my own tweaks along the way.
Knitted Knee High Flower Socks Pattern
These socks are knit magic loop 2 at a time including video tutorials for special stitches by me on YouTube. Features include Shadow Wrap Short Row Heel, Fair Isle, tapered toes, crochet flowers and lace tie up.
While making the videos for these sock instructions it occurred to me that maybe one day my future family generations might get a kick out of watching/listening to me on YouTube. Maybe one of them will want to learn how to knit or crochet 😊
I’ve made dozens of these hats in different sizes, and they’re always a favourite with my grandkids.
I began with a simple hat pattern, experimented with the colour changes until they looked just right, then designed a playful crest and ears to complete the look.
