Meet
Michelle Ruth
I’m Michelle, a photographer and textile designer weaving together light, color, and comfort. After fifty-nine years of collecting stories, I’m building a cozy, independent life—one crochet quilt, shared photo, and thoughtful journal entry at a time.
My Journey
I wanted to share this spectacular hummingbird photo I captured in my backyard because it perfectly represents a brand-new chapter for me.
To get a shot like this takes a lot of patience and stillness. But sitting quietly on my patio with my camera, waiting for the perfect moment, made me realize how much I love the life I’ve built.
After years of absorbing everyone else’s noise, demands, and drama, I have reached a point where I am truly standing my ground. At 59, I am finally done taking anyone else’s crap. My peace is entirely non-negotiable. I have learned that being independent in my own space isn’t lonely—it is a luxury, and it is a sanctuary for my soul
